About Randy

Thanks for visiting my site. My name is Randy VanderVeen and I hope you’ll stick around for a few minutes to see who I am and how I might be able to help you work less and hunt and fish more.

My goal here is to let people know who I am, what makes me tick, and with my knowledge of marketing online, give you a better understanding of how to sort through an endless sea of websites wanting to take your money to help you “Make Five Figures This Month!”……..Yeah right.

Now, it’s likely I don’t know you personally at all, but I assume that you’re looking for something. Perhaps you can identify with one of these categories:

** You’re new to the internet/home business industry and you’re not sure about where to start. Or maybe you’re not having success in your current business, and you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired.

** You’re an entrepreneur at heart who is currently trading time for money. You’re ready to learn how to leverage your time and start something new so you can enjoy more freedom to hunt and fish and work less.

** You’ve graduated from college and you realize the job market isn’t what you anticipated or, you’re on the other end of the spectrum and you’re facing retirement with little to fund your golden years but you have a lot of energy to enjoy life and now want to pursue your dreams.

With that said, I can teach you everything I know about making money on the internet if you are serious enough to take action.

But I want to be honest with you. There is no “magic pill” or “free lunch” when it comes to making money with the internet. You will need to work and learn.

In reality, there’s only one thing that stands between you and the really successful home business entrepreneurs.

MINDSET.

You will need a ‘successful mindset’ – the one that knows you will succeed and the persistence to stick with your goals through the inevitable ups and downs in any business. The one that treats your business like a business and not a hobby.

Now if you’re saying “Whoa, I don’t know if I have that mindset…”, you may have to reconsider whether being an entrepreneur is for you. After all, I’m sure you don’t want to start a business to kick the tires, but rather to pull out all stops and begin your journey the right way.

The good news is you can develop your mindset if you are willing to work on yourself. I am going to be brutally honest with you here. Your business will only grow as much as you grow as a person. 95% of your success hinges on your personal development.

If you think you can or you think you can’t, either way you’re right. The question is, what do you choose?

Let me tell you some of the things I DO NOT do to build my business!

• I don’t make a list of my friends and family to pitch my business.

• I don’t hold one on one presentations or meetings.

• I don’t spam (send unsolicited email).

• I don’t stock a garage full of products.

• I don’t cold call strangers.

• I don’t do traditional sales.

Does that surprise you? Instead, I implement fun marketing strategies that cause my phone to ring. I make it very comfortable for people to simply pick up the phone and have a relaxed conversation with me. And when they do, they feel like they already know me. That’s a lot more fun.
I will share with you what I’m doing online in my different businesses, but first, I’d like to share with you who I am as a person and my story of where I’ve been that lead me to where I am today.

So the purpose of this website is for you to really understand who I am and what I have to offer YOU…then you can decide for yourself if you would like to partner up with me and get started on your own path to get out of debt and take control of your finances once and for all.

I’m 48 and live near Grand Rapids, MI where I married my high school sweetheart Marilyn, 27 years ago. The Lord has blessed us with 3 beautiful daughters, Marie and her husband and son Casey, Katie and her husband Joel and daughter Anna, and Lisa who goes to a christian high school.

My wife Marilyn decided to stay home to raise our kids and she’s done an awesome job. She has given so much of herself unselfishly and I owe her a debt of gratitude I’ll never be able to repay. Everyday we go for a 2 mile walk. It’s been great for our health and our marriage. We both look forward to traveling more soon.

We are NOT a “flashy” family with material “toys” and “stuff.” We’ve gotten beyond that. The things that matter most to us is being able to spend time as a family, doing what the Lord calls us to do, and going about the work we love to do so we can support our church and christian schools.

We love living in Michigan because of the changing of the seasons, even winter, (except for whenever they last too long.) Fall is my favorite time of the year. My outdoor passion is archery hunting for whitetails and turkeys.

There’s nothing like the quiet woods and being in a tree stand with my bow and video camera when the sun comes up over the horizon shining on the bright colored leaves. What an awesome creation!

Michigan has one of the highest deer and turkey population numbers that its been a crop damage problem for farmers and a traffic hazard for motorists.

All three of my daughters enjoy bowhunting as well. It’s a great way to teach any child patience, persistence, safety, and a respect for animals and the outdoors. Plus it gets them away from the TV and computer games. We like to use treesaddles since it gives us more mobility and flexibility in hunting different locations without the hassle of setting up permanent or portable stands.

Our girls all harvested their first deer with a bow during their high school years. Most of the boys in their class couldn’t believe they even liked hunting, let alone getting a deer with a bow because my girls don’t appear to be “tom boyish” at all. (Is that a word?)

Since I never enjoyed doing homework while going to school, I knew college was NOT for me. Besides, two of my brothers both worked for the same company. One had gone to college for four years and the other didn’t. That’s all I needed to know.

I worked for a landscape company for a while with no place to go, and then became a dispatcher at a printing company where I worked my way up the ladder. Soon after becoming the traffic manager, I discovered that creating reports, meetings, deadlines, and all the office politics that goes with corporate America was not what I wanted to do the rest of my life. The thing that really convinced me I needed to be on my own was this commercial by Monster.com. I never laughed so hard when I imagined my “serious” co-workers in this commercial.
Watch this video!

Can you picture anyone you know in that video? Maybe even yourself? I know I did.

That’s when I decided to start a pallet recycling business in the 90’s. Believe me, this does not take rocket science! I rented a cheap run down boat warehouse (with no loading dock) to unload truckloads of used and broken unwanted pallets that I was able to get from different companies all over the midwest. We would repair and sort these pallets to resell them.

I still run that business today, however, rising gas prices, insurance, taxes, lumber and nail costs have taken a lot of the fun and profits out of it.

This caused me to explore what people were doing on the internet to generate additional incomes with their computers. What I found was hundreds of websites and methods that claimed to put “Big Money” into your pocket fast. “Sign up for this ebook and you’ll flood your bank account with thousand dollar checks next week!” Yeah Right.

Knowing that most of these websites were all hype, I got my feet wet by trying to learn some basics first before jumping into my first program. I broke even and even made a few hundred here and there but I was not in what you would call the BIG TIME.

After you have been online and looking for a new business and after spinning your wheels, something needs to change right? I heard stats that say there are 600 million people on the internet right now. 198 Million of them want to start a home based business because they are not making a living with a 9-5 job. They hate their boss, hate their commute, are deeply in debt, stressed out, and want a way out of the rat race. Do you relate with that?

Problem is, those 198 million opportunity seekers are all FAILING at making a real income from home. Actually, not all are failing, only 98% are.

Are you looking to become a functional online marketer? Do yourself a favor, don’t be taught by amateurs who were taught by amateurs, who were taught by amateurs to be amateurs. Dysfunction breeds dysfunction.

You need to set yourself apart from all the noise on the web! Dare to be different! Dare to be YOU!

If you try to appeal to MOST of the people on the web, you won’t appeal to people that are like you. You’ll only generate short term relationships that way. Long lasting profitable relationships on the web will only be with people who ARE like you and/or can identify with you. Don’t try to appeal to every type of person, just be you! If you understand this one principle, you’ll be miles ahead of 98% of other online marketers right out of the gate.

I’m not here to persuade or convince you to do business with me. Instead, I want to share what I’ve learned about online marketing with people who are looking for a way to generate some additional income.

So if you want to talk business or hunting, give me a ring. My cell phone is 616-453-5455 and yes, I actually answer my phone, unless I’m in my treesaddle.
